At Olde Hickory Homestead we care for the animals and land we have been entrusted with. Our mission is to focus on clean living and growing our own food, as well as preparing it using methods that preserve
the natural health benefits.
Goats
Our goats bring all kinds of excitement to our homesteading venture. We have a herd of
Kinder goats, a dual purpose breed which provide good meat stock, and high milk production
with excellent butterfat properties.
Chickens
Our chickens are where the homestead all began... We have a variety of layers providing us with
a colorful collection of eggs, some of which are available for sale. Each year we raise broilers to be processed for farm fresh chicken, available by pre-order.
Soaps & Skin Care
We sell homemade goat milk soap in a variety of fragrances. Each is carefully prepared with natural ingredients that provide health benefits to your skin, while creating a pleasing lather during use. Most of our soaps contain a bit of honey which was harvested from our own hives.
We also provide other healthy alternatives to skin care, such as sugar scrubs, lotions and balms.
Bees, Honey & Produce
Our bees provide vital pollination which is critical to the success of our fruit and vegetable harvest. They also provide us with some wonderful honey, which is available for purchase. The fruits and vegetables are available in season. Contact us for further info.
